Donkey and Mule Show

You and your grandkids will have fun at the Pre-State Fair donkey and mule show featuring teams and riders from all over the nation. The horses’ larger-eared “cousins” will compete in a multitude of events including obstacle driving, timed driving, mule-man-ship, donkey-ship, reining, trail, barrel racing, stake race, scramble, and physical appearance. You will not want to miss this “one of a kind” event.

Heard Museum 50th Anniversary Celebration 

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of Heard Natural Science Museum & Wildlife Sanctuary!  1-4pm Join in on fun kid-friendly activities and refreshments (while supplies last).
At 1 p.m., enjoy a butterfly talk all about the amazing Monarch butterfly.

For your pleasure from 2 to 4 p.m., join WRR and the Texas Chamber Music Project for their “Naturally Classical” concert of nature-inspired classical pieces. Bring a blanket and goodies for a picnic.
