Dallas: Holiday at the Arboretum featuring The 12 Days of Christmas and “The Artistry of the Nativity” Twelve elaborate 25-foot-tall Victorian gazebos placed on 66 acres are filled with the charming costumed characters, whimsical animals and winter scenes made famous by the beloved Christmas carol.

Fort Worth: Tarrant County Veterans Day Parade. As World War II and the Korean War reached their 50th anniversary, our nation commemorated our warriors’ service and sacrifice. Now we have the opportunity to do what should have been done 50 years ago: welcome our Vietnam Veterans home with honor, and thank them and their families for their service and sacrifice. The parade will have over 5,000 participants including Veterans, serving military, JROTC, School Bands, Veteran, Civic, and many more patriotic organizations and friends.

Where:  Sundance Square, Fort Worth. The parade will assemble along North Main Street to the Courthouse and proceed south on Main to Sundance Square for the 11 am opening ceremony.

McKinney: All Day Seminar for family caregivers and health professionals. Hear experts in the field of dementia care share their knowledge about the challenges faced by the person with dementia and their caregivers. Enjoy lunch, exhibits and the opportunity to visit with others who are on the dementia journey. The day will end with a session presented by Charles McClatchey who has a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease.
