Making Memories is a free “day out” program for those suffering with the early stages of dementia or Alzheimer’s. Caregivers are welcome to stay, but we exist to provide this time as a period of rest from the demands of caregiving. We have a 2:1 volunteer to participant ratio, creating a safe and loving environment. Activities during Making Memories aim to exercise the mind & body while boosting self-esteem.
Making Memories is open to persons of all faiths, races and ethnicities. Availability is limited. Participants must provide their own sack lunch and must not require administering of medication while at Making Memories. Loving volunteers will staff this program.
