TITLED “THE UNIVERSITY EDITION” FEATURING LOCAL UNIVERSITY TALENT
Stop by on your lunch break each Wednesday in March, and enjoy a respite in the middle of your week
St. Andrew United Methodist Church invites the community to its third annual lunch-time organ recital series, highlighting the sounds of the impressive 4-manual Létourneau in the refined acoustics of the sanctuary, each Wednesday in March, beginning March 8, from 12:00 to 12:35 p.m., at 5801 W. Plano Parkway, Plano, Texas 75093.
“We’re celebrating our third year of this series,” said Dr. Jonathan Gregoire, Associate Director of Music/Organist, “and as something special, the theme for this year is ‘The University Edition’ to highlight regional rising stars, while showcasing the importance St. Andrew United Methodist Church places on education. We invite the community to join us each Wednesday to hear the plethora of talent in our regional universities.”
In order, the organists include: Dr. Jonathan M. Gregoire, St. Andrew United Methodist Church and Artist Diploma Student at Southern Methodist University (March 8); The Organ Studio of Dr. Jesse Eschbach, University of North Texas (March 15); Dr. Damin Spritzer and Dr. Adam Pajan, Organ Faculty, University of Oklahoma (March 22); The Organ Studio of Prof. Stefan Engels, Southern Methodist University (March 29).
“Lunch-time recitals provide a welcome break in the work day to unplug from the office, with a set length for the perfect morsel of music,” added Gregoire. “Please join us any Wednesday that works best in your schedule, and experience the beautiful resources of St. Andrew.”

St. Andrew United Methodist Church began 30 years ago in the spirit of its namesake, a disciple of Jesus. The life of the Apostle Andrew embodies the church’s mission, which is to invite the Christian-ish and the unchurched to become passionate servants of Christ. St. Andrew is a congregation of people who follow Jesus, live in relationship, serve others, and take risks in faith. Worship includes five services each weekend on a 21.2-acre campus at the corner of Plano Parkway and Mira Vista in Plano, Texas, where nearly 2,000 people gather each weekend. The church has been repeatedly selected as a “Best Place to Worship in Plano” by the readers of the Plano Star Courier. Groups gather on campus and throughout the region seven days a week, including small group and Bible studies; a renowned music ministry; service through missions such as the Seven Loaves Community Center, providing services to qualifying Collin County residents to help escape the poverty cycle; 4 Corners Global Outreach, reaching remote villages needing medical care; Career Care, a workforce assistance program; and more.
